The
Colors of America -
Oil Paintings and Photography by Tom Homme
Tom's
favorite subject is landscapes, particularly western landscapes.
Born in Lockport, Tom's father was in the Air Force so young
Tom moved around a lot and spent most of his formative years
in the western United States. He began painting in 1969 but work
and raising a family prevented him from pursuing it as much as
he liked. In 2001 Tom retired from Harrison Radiator and again
took up the brush.
Speaking of his art Tom says, "I like straight forward subjects,
no deep meanings and I like bright colors, nothing gloomy. We have enough
gloomy days here as it is."
The show opened Saturday July 10th; a reception was held on Saturday,
July 17th; the show ran to July 31.
