Upstairs Gallery: "The Way I See It" -
The Mental Health Associations Second Annual Art Show

"Art has a long history in helping people who suffer from mental illness," says Joe Buczkowski, Director of the art center. "It has been used both in diagnoses, to peer into the mind of the mentally ill, and in therapy, helping people to express what they are feeling and thinking. Art can be a bridge between so called ‘normal’ society and the mentally ill, a population that is often stigmatized by society."

There was an opening reception on Saturday, September 20th.

Gallery space is available to rent for artist shows or community exhibitions.
