"Perspectives" featuring works by Andrew and John Upton
For
brothers Jon and Andrew Upton of Appleton, it began with
drawing with Grandma whenever they stayed with
her. Soon they were taking art classes at school and
not long after that, they were taking advanced art classes.
Both boys have graduated from Barker this past spring
and will be attending college in the fall. Jon will be
attending Ringling College of Art in the fall and plans
to pursue a career in computer animation and to work
for Pixar or a similar company. Andrew will be attending
Hobart College in Geneva, NY where he plans to study
International Relations though he says that art will
remain a major part of his life.
The
show opened Saturday, August 16th, with a reception and
wine tasting by Leonard Oakes Estate Winery.
