“All in the Family,” featured works by Terry Mangan and her three adult children Mark Will, Dawn Gagola, and Donna Will. Terry is from Buffalo where she was a student of Albright Knox School of Art. She and her husband lived for a time in Virginia where she continued her education, learning watercolor from local artists. Since then she has pursued art for over twenty years, exhibiting in both Virginia and Western New York and teaching art classes. Terry paints realism and draws heavily from nature. “Art is everywhere is you look for it,” says Mangam, “I love to paint God’s world so others can enjoy some of what they see.” Terry’s love of art has been passed on to her children, all of whom got early artistic learning from mom before expanding their artistic education and developing their own unique styles. “It is interesting to see both the similarities and the differences between mother and child,” says Buczkowski. “While they each have their own style and preferred media you can see that a love of nature has been passed on to all of them.” Show opened on September 5th, Reception was on Saturday, September 12. | ||
