James Weil is a twenty-six year veteran of the Navy, where he designed many patches and logos for the military. Weil nonetheless found the time to attend the Alameda Junior College in California, Columbus (Ohio) College of Art and Design, and the Academy of Art College in San Francisco.

Although he enjoys painting a variety of subjects his favourites are Yosemite Valley and lighthouses. Working mostly in oil and watercolor, Weil has exhibited in California, Pennsylvania, and New York. This is his second show at the Market Street Art Center.

The reception was Saturday April 18th, from 5pm to 8pm.
